‘Alakh Niranjan’ is that supreme existence and is the sole subject of all Vedas and Upanishads. It is the last phase of meditation ,beyond which nothing exists. So we can perceive that existence as the ‘One’.In this context Gorakhnath once said that “Niranjan Uprant Dhyan Nahi”-------
“Niragunam Bama Bhage Sabya Bhagoth Bhuta Nija
Madhya Bhage Swayam Purna Tasmayi Nathaya Te Namah.
Bama Bhage Sthitah Sambhu,Sabye Vishnustathayi Bacha
Madhya Bhage Parama Jyoti,Tad Jyotirme Tama Haram….”
The notion of Niranjana clearly comes out from this sloka.Though he is beyond any kind of explanation or definition we can try to perceive him with the example of a wheel .Alakh Niranjan is just like the centre point of a wheel where all the spoke meet each other and with time the supreme knows to expand and contract .Even in Doomsday i.e ‘Kalpanta‘ Niranjan only exits taking Universe within himself. This is the synopsis of Nath Philosophy. The philosophy centres round the sadhana of ‘Nada and Bindu’.
